2 Chronicles 13-15 #CEB

Today we are reading from 2 Chronicles 13-15.  This link takes you to the Common English Bible at Biblegateway.  There you can swith versions if you would like or you can look up the passage in a Bible you have in your possession.

This passage deals with leaders of Isreal, and at the end a reform movement.  Did you learn or remember something today?

My great-grandfather’s name was Abijah (which I found very unusual as a child). But I was told that it came from the Bible. He lived to be 102 years old, but didn’t have 14 wives. He said one was enough. Together they had 12 children, so he was busy with just one.
I still find the punishments to be so severe and completely different from the teachings of Jesus, but I’m finding these scriptures to be a great learning experience.
